Workmed Travel Clinic is specifically licensed to offer Yellow Fever vaccinations and is also able to offer all other
vaccinations required or indicated for your specific destination or health status such as Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Influenza, Meningitis and Rabies to name but a few.
A physical medical examination will be conducted on each traveller as an integral part of the consulation process in order to, along with a full medical history, establish the traveller's current health status.
Prevention and post exposure treatment
When visiting some destinations it is often advisable to receive vaccinations against diseases like Hepatitis A or Typhoid. Some countries require that you receive Yellow Fever and then of course there is Malaria. We can give you the correct advice for your journey and design an appropriate vaccination schedule. For most travellers we suggest that an appointment should be made about 4 to 5 weeeks prior to departure. If you're planning something a little more adventurous, then 6 to 8 weeks may be more appropriate.
The use of insect repellents, mosquito nets and other items form an important part of your preventative health care regime while you are travelling and we are uniquely qualified to advise you in this regard.
Many tropical diseases only present themselves weeks, and in some cases, months after the person has returned. The post-exposure service is designed to detect the presence of such diseases. If you are unwell after returning home then we may be able to offer such assistance.
